Does the Neurosity Crown work with iborg's brain games?
Yes. The Neurosity Crown is a 8 sensors (CP3, C3, F5, PO3, PO4, F6, C4, CP4) headset reading at 256 Hz, one of five headsets the iborg Brain Arcade supports. iborg records the device and sensor layout with every session, so your Neurosity Crown data is only compared with other Neurosity Crown recordings, never blended with a different headset.
Do I need to install anything to use a Neurosity Crown with iborg?
The Neurosity Crown connects through a small helper app you run on your own computer; your device credentials stay local (never in iborg).
What can I see with a Neurosity Crown?
Watch the slow brainwave called alpha rise and fall as you open and close your eyes. See your brainwaves lock onto a 40 Hz sound, with no flashing at all. Its back-of-head sensors pick up the response to a gentle light flicker especially clearly. It's all for research and curiosity: every read-out is an estimate of a signal we saw this session, not a claim about you.
Are iborg's brain games safe on a Neurosity Crown?
Yes. Only one game uses a gentle light flicker, and it never starts until you pass a quick photosensitivity check and confirm your age. You can Stop any time (button or the Esc key), it honours your device's reduced-motion setting, and the flickering patch stays small. Every flicker game also offers a no-flashing, sound-only version, so nothing dead-ends.
Is my brain data private with a Neurosity Crown?
Yes. New accounts are private by default: nothing you record is shared until you choose to. Your brainwaves are encrypted, sharing an anonymized reading to the public average or to research is a separate opt-in you can change any time, and any optional webcam eye-tracking runs on your own device (only coordinates leave it, never video).
How do I get started with a Neurosity Crown, or with no headset at all?
Open the Brain Arcade, choose Neurosity Crown, and play a 30-second game, or run a quick calibration first to see what your setup can do. No headset yet? Try it with a built-in demo signal, no hardware and no sign-up (the demo is clearly labelled and never counts as a real reading).
No headset? No problem.
These brain games are for research and curiosity, not for any kind of diagnosis. See how the Neurosity Crown compares to other headsets on the compatibility & reliability matrix.
